Tebex and GCash, explained

QR Ph SCAN TO PAY ₱500 GCash, Maya or any bank app

Can players pay a Tebex store with GCash?

Yes, by card: the GCash Card is a Visa card, and Tebex takes cards from buyers in every country, charged in the store’s own currency rather than pesos. For paying in pesos, Tebex lists GrabPay and Dragonpay. Here is what each route means for your Minecraft server, from Tebex’s own pages as they stood on October 16, 2026.

Tebex, the store platform once called Buycraft, says it serves more than 45,000 businesses.3 Filipino Minecraft servers sell on it too. If yours is one, these are the ways your players can pay with GCash or in pesos today.

With a GCash card. Tebex takes credit and debit cards from buyers in every country.1 The GCash Card is a Visa card that works with merchants in the Philippines and abroad,12 and Maya’s card works at online shops that take Visa or Mastercard,13 so either one is the kind of card Tebex takes. We haven’t paid a Tebex checkout with one ourselves. Card prices on Tebex are in one of six currencies a creator can charge in (US, Australian or Canadian dollars, pounds, euros or złoty), so the player pays the peso equivalent at their card’s rate.1, 7

In pesos, with GrabPay or Dragonpay. Tebex’s payment methods page lists three methods for the Philippines, all charged in pesos: GrabPay (PH), Dragonpay eBanking and Dragonpay Convenience Stores Philippines.1 Every method starts switched on except PaysafeCard, so a store offers them unless its creator turned them off.8 Dragonpay’s own channel list includes GCash and Maya,11 but we could not confirm whether they appear in Tebex’s Dragonpay screen. If that matters to your players, open your own store’s checkout and look.

GCash as an option of its own. A request on Tebex’s feedback board, “Add GCash as a Payment Method - Philippines”, has been open since 28 April 2023. On October 16, 2026 it had 16 upvotes and the status Unassigned.10 Only Tebex can say whether it is coming.

Why some Filipino servers take GCash by hand

Look up Tebex and GCash and many of the results are Filipino servers explaining their own workaround. The player sends the amount to a GCash number, takes a screenshot or copies the reference number, and posts it in a ticket or a DM. Someone on staff checks it and gives the rank.

It is a sensible answer when most of your players pay with GCash. It also has costs that grow with the server:

Someone has to check every payment. Nothing is delivered until a person compares the screenshot with the GCash app, so a player who pays at 2 a.m. waits until someone wakes up.

A screenshot can be edited. The only safe check is the money in your own GCash history, matched by amount and reference number.

Mistakes are fixed by hand too. A wrong amount, a payment to an old number or a refund each needs a conversation.

The store doesn’t see it. Sales paid this way sit outside your store’s checkout, so they don’t show in its sales history and nothing is delivered until someone on staff grants it.

GCash with automatic delivery

KantoPay takes GCash through QR Ph. At checkout the player sees a QR Ph code for the exact peso price, scans it with GCash, Maya or any bank or e-wallet app that pays QR Ph, and approves the payment in that app. They need no card and no KantoPay account.

Delivered in game, by itself. When the payment clears, the KantoPay plugin runs your commands on the server: the rank, the kit, the crate keys. Over the 30 days to October 16, 2026, half of the 305 orders we measured reached the player within 19 seconds of payment.14 Refunds, chargebacks and expired timed ranks are taken back in game the same way. Peso in, perks out, with nobody checking screenshots.

Where it runs. The plugin works on Paper, Spigot, Purpur and Folia, from Minecraft 1.8 to the latest version, with a chest-menu shop and /buy; Bedrock players are served through Geyser. Builds for Velocity, Fabric, NeoForge and Forge do delivery only. Setup is in the docs.

KantoPay is the seller. The player buys from KantoPay as merchant of record: we collect the payment, handle the tax, and are responsible for delivery and support.16 We buy each item from you at a trade price: your price less our 5% margin and less 3% of what the player paid, which allows for the percentage tax we pay the BIR as the seller. From what we owe you we also deduct the payment fee, 1.5% for QR Ph.15

Cashing out. A sale is ordinarily held for 14 days. Then you can cash out to GCash, Maya or a Philippine bank, in pesos, for a flat ₱10. Up to ₱50,000 goes by InstaPay and arrives within minutes at any hour; a larger amount goes by PESONet and arrives the next banking day.15

Fees and cash-out, side by side

Both platforms host your store, deliver in game by themselves and sell to the player as merchant of record, so the differences are in how a Filipino player pays, what each takes and how the money reaches you. Every Tebex figure below is from Tebex’s own pages; every KantoPay one is from our own published pages and terms.

In pesos, a KantoPay sale works out the same way at any price, because there is no fixed fee. Tebex’s side can’t be worked out like this: card and PayPal prices are in another currency, and the payment fee depends on the method the player picks.

When Tebex fits better

Tebex says it has 14+ years of experience and has processed $1.5 billion so far.3 There are good reasons to choose it, or to stay with it.

Your players are mostly outside the Philippines. Tebex lets buyers pay with methods from their own countries, such as iDEAL, Pix, UPI, BLIK and Klarna, takes cards and PayPal, prices in six currencies, and handles sales tax around the world as merchant of record.1, 7, 9 KantoPay’s checkout takes QR Ph only, so a player needs a Philippine bank or e-wallet app to pay.

You sell for a game we don’t cover. Tebex works with FiveM, Rust, ARK, Garry’s Mod, Unturned and more.2 KantoPay has a plugin for Minecraft only; Rust and Hytale connect through our REST API, with no plugin to install.

You live outside the Philippines. KantoPay is built for creators here: prices, fees and balances are in pesos, and cash-outs are built around GCash, Maya and Philippine banks. Tebex pays out to banks in many countries, by wire or to PayPal.5, 6

Your Tebex store already works. If your players are happy with how they pay today, moving takes time: a new plugin, your products set up again, and your players told where to go. A store that works is worth keeping.

Questions

Can I pay for a Tebex store with GCash?

Yes, by card: the GCash Card is a Visa card, and Tebex takes cards in the store’s currency rather than pesos. Tebex also lists GrabPay (PH) and Dragonpay, which charge in pesos. Dragonpay’s own channels include GCash, but we couldn’t confirm that Tebex’s Dragonpay screen shows it. What you see also depends on what the store’s creator has switched on.

Is GCash coming to Tebex?

Only Tebex can say. The request on its feedback board, opened on 28 April 2023, had 16 upvotes and the status Unassigned on October 16, 2026.10

Is “send GCash to this number” safe for my server?

It can work with care. Check each payment in your own GCash app, never only in a screenshot, and match the amount and the reference number. What care can’t fix is the wait: nothing reaches the player until someone has checked.

Do my players need a KantoPay account?

No. They scan the QR Ph code, approve the payment in their own app, and the plugin delivers. No card and no sign-up.

What does cashing out cost?

On KantoPay, ₱10 to GCash, Maya or a Philippine bank, in pesos. On Tebex, £5.00 per transfer to a Philippine bank or £12 by wire, or you can withdraw to PayPal; Tebex adds 2% if you withdraw in a different currency from your wallet’s.4, 6
